Enhanced health in care homes – free event

NOTE: THIS IS AN OLD NEWS ARTICLE AND ONE OF THE VENUES HAS SINCE CHANGED. FOR LATEST DETAILS PLEASE CLICK HERE. THANK YOU.

Preventing falls, reducing pressure damage and ensuring safer transfers between care homes and hospital are just some of the issues on the agenda at a free conference running three times in the early part of 2018.

Taking place at three different venues in the North East and North Cumbria, it is a chance for care homes and care providers to keep in touch with the latest developments and share ideas with colleagues.

Speakers and workshops will cover the latest initiatives from around the country and how they can help you to improve the care you provide – and help your staff gain new skills. By using the enhanced care framework, homes and care providers can improve safety, quality and health outcomes for their residents.

It’s a chance to find out more about:

  • The Red Bag scheme, which can mean shorter, smoother hospital stays
  • React to Red, which can help care staff prevent pressure damage
  • Digital technologies – how they can help improve care for residents
  • Preventing falls – hear from the North East Ambulance Service about best practice

With all these new approaches set to become standard practice, it’s never been more important to keep track of change.
